Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for her role as the deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
