Her performances in Spamalot's original West End production, the Regent's Park revival of Into the Woods and The Wizard of Oz (as the Wicked Witch of the West) are among her most notable. In recognition of her work she has been nominated for three Olivier Awards. In 2015, she was a part of the Game of Thrones fifth season with the role of Septa Unella. The actress also played a primary role in the 2012 adaptation of Les Miserables. Waddingham has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award.
